A Brand New Day

I am waiting for the dawn

Of a glorious Easter day

I am waiting for the Son

Who will never go away

I am yearning for the light

And warmth that sunshine gives

I am seeking for the sight

To see the Son who lives

I long to awaken to a brand new day

Where all my dreams come true

I long to live in a brand new world

With a sky of heavenly blue

I know the sun will rise again

With splendor and golden rays

I know the Savior will appear again

And I believe this time He stays

I will behold the darkness flee away

From His majesty and might

And all my guilt and fears will flee

By the power of His grace and light

I am waiting to see His smile

And the sweetness of His gaze

I am yearning for His voice

To proclaim that precious phrase

Well done My child, come unto Me

For your love has reached My throne

Since you love Me true, and your brother too

I will carry you to God’s home

There your longings will be fulfilled

Your dreams will all come true

You will be filled with light and love

For I will forever be part of you
