Ascending

The brightest Light that shone in heaven

Set aside His heavenly glow

As an infant of humble birth

Without His glory He came below

He was born to men on earth

The Father’s only Son

To save us from our sins and stains

And victory over the grave He won

All praises sing to Christ our King

The greatest gift of God’s great love

Who for love gave us His Life

To bring us back to our home above
